Instructions for use

News: e-learning

In partnership with AMA Coaching School, we are now able to offer e-learning programmes to organisations wanting whole cohorts of people to upskill in applied coaching skills or other managing and leadership skills too. With about 20,000 learners having enrolled in Angus McLeod’s e-learning coaching programmes since 2004, you can be assured that the learning is not tick-box ‘knowledge-only’ learning, but applied learning for use immediately. Corporates have the option of Open College Network qualification programmes or those offered by the AMA Coaching School itself and externally endorsed by the Coaching Foundation.

Self-reflective (SR) Silence

When a coachee makes a discovery, the psychological breakthrough in perception, or catharsis, is wholly internal. Even if the coach is speaking, the contribution of the coach to the actual event is insignificant.

Silence (and specifically one form of silence in coaching: ‘self-reflective’ silence, SR-Silence) is therefore the dominant of the triad of the Principal Instruments (that include questioning and challenge). SR-Silence enables the coachee to think and feel (experience) without the coach sidetracking them. Watch the video for more . Continue reading Self-reflective (SR) Silence
