Since 2009, AMA has been working with the National Skills Academy for Manufacturing, managed by SEMTA, to provide leadership and coaching skills to manufacturing industry managements.
Philip Whiteman, chief executive of Semta commented about the latest e-learning additions to the services provided by Angus McLeod Associates: “These new courses strengthen The Academy’s programme portfolio, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to helping provide employers in our sectors with the skills they need. Since The Academy was established in 2007, we have approved over 80 programmes and 500 trainers and assessors have trained 12,300 learners.
“As a result, companies working with The Academy have seen, on average, a 6:1 ratio of return on their skills investment. These programmes further bolster our offer to employers, helping better prepare them for business success in the economic upturn.”
These skills are transfered with interventions including 1-2-1 coaching (via the innovative AMA ‘Day-Coach’ scheme) and training in coaching skills. These coaching skills are offered both as a 1-2-1 management discipline but also for executives to adapt their leadership skills for both day-to-day behaviour and performance enhancements. These enhancements can be rolled-out as part of a culture change initiative.
The AMA/NSAM products are targetted primarily at the SME market, but whole supply-chains, including blue-chips gain from these learning & development interventions. Want to know more? Email or call AMA to discuss.
