This short video extract of the ‘TED’ Talk given by Angus McLeod at the University of Gloucester in 2009 and called ‘Coaching – Be the Change’. Honour for Angus McLeod
Angus McLeod was honoured with a Visiting Professorship by Birmingham City University in March, 2010. This follows his connection with the Business School including a role as External Supervisor for research. Prof. McLeod says:
“Buyers of services called coaching need to be able to differentiate between effective and ineffective providers. We aim to bring the rigour of academic process via applied research to bear on coaching efficacy in typical settings”.
The appointment marks a deliberate move by the Business School to do more applied research and to highlight coaching and leadership as key areas for further work. There will be scope for collaboration with both coaching providers and corporations.

Wheel of work
The Wheel of work is a great tool for managers in organisations to get to know how to motivate people.
For coaches, the wheel of work provides a useful model to help the coachee learn more about their world of work, what can most influence a positive change, and where to establish sustainable targets/goals.
