During this interactive, 90 minute session we’ll introduce you to:

1. Practical, proven client attracting approaches used by successful coaches
2. An easy to use 7 -step process you can learn to apply to regularly secure coaching clients
3. The opportunity to put into practice what you’ll learn with each other before you use it in your coaching practice, and
4. The chance to get your most urgent marketing questions answered by two coaches with a combined 30 years plus of effectively marketing their coaching services to individuals, groups and corporate clients in a variety of areas.

Amechi Udo and Angus McLeod are part of the coaching business development team of the AMA Coaching School.

Amechi has been coaching in the areas of business and career for over ten years.
His professional background is in human resources, executive search and learning and development.
He holds a Masters in Human Resources, a Diploma in Performance Coaching (Business) and is a certified NLP Practitioner.
Amechi has written several e-books on coaching as well as co-ordinating conferences for coaches.

Angus has been coaching for over 15 years. Angus is an international renowned coach, author, speaker and facilitator.
He has published four books on coaching, leadershi, NLP and management as well as over 50 articles on these topics.
Angus is the founder of the AMA Coaching School and MD of Angus McLeod Associates (Learning and Development Consultancy).

Come out of a single exit, turn left, keep walking straight ahead until you will see the Shakespeare Pub on the opposite side of the road. Behind the pub you will see a tall building with yellow panelled cladding (Great Arthur House). Cross the road (be careful).

Then walk down some steps under archway of the Great Arthur House to a double-door way directly facing you (Golden Lane Community Centre, a one-floor building). The room for our meeting is straight ahead as soon as you go in.

Dr John McGurk at the CIPD, said:

“Although many firms are still struggling in the private sector, and some are still reining in spending on training, the picture has picked up since last year. Not only have we seen learning and development being prioritised more in the recent recession than in previous ones, we’re also seeing a strong bounce back from firms recognising that investing in skills is the best way of capitalising on recovery.
“With the full impact of the spending cuts yet to be felt in the public sector, maintaining support for employee development by linking it to organisational change is essential if organisations are to steer through these uncertain and challenging times”.

The CIPD report cited also says that of all Learning and training Development interventions, e-learning has made the largest gain with 62% of respondents increasing their use of e-learning in the year to 2010 in a period in which a majority of organisations spent less. The swing to e-learning procurement has INCREASED by 54% in the year 2009-2010 as part of the reduction strategy for ‘learning & development’ spends in organisations.

With experience of supplying applied-learning journey programmes for 20,000 people since 2004, Angus McLeod says, “Most e-learning is tick-box and is useful for increased ‘understanding’ or measuring that understanding as a snap-shot in time. Where we differ is in supplying applied learning that is practical, blended activity-centred learning for which practical application and reflective-practice is required in order to complete assessments. This means that learners can be stimulated by a whole host of activities:

• reading
• researching
• applying at work
• observing others
• watching video tutorials
• participating in webinars
• attending small-group tutorial sessions, or
• meeting and learning with other in an online community”.

AMA objectives remain the same, to stimulate behavioural and performance competences that are observable and therefore measurable. For that, practical experience and blended-learning in our programmes are absolute.

Perhaps we now need a new name for these offerings as they are at variance with the bulk of e-learning on offer! Suggestions anyone?!

We are pleased to announce the new association with the AMA Coaching School. Yesterday, the School became an Open College Network (OCN) Centre and will be offering brand new, AMACS-designed OCN Coaching Units as well as other coaching and business courses in this year’s Prospectus. The new Prospectus includes Business Development courses for both life coaches and for executive coaches and will be offering SEO web-site development courses, Social-media development and website-member development technology courses to help coaches develop their business strategies and to create and build SEO-enhanced websites, or at least know exactly what they want to specify to a 3rd party. There is Prospectus Launch Webinar on Thursday evening the 27th of January with special offers available to registrants.

The AMA Coaching School model is based on that used at Newcastle College and for the ca. 20,000 students who undertook courses designed by Angus. These courses are mainly flexible-learning to suit students and some courses include some optional face-to-face sessions too. All AMACS courses are externally endorsed.
